10 Top Qualities of a Good Student

Dear students,

“Don’t let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do. You
must strive for progress, not perfection.” A strong believer of the
above mentioned words, Mrs. Deepika Manglani, Director of
Dolphins Group of Schools has shared with all the top 10 qualities
one must have to be a great student.

1.)Kind– As a student, be kind and compassionate, towards your
classmates, always be ready to share your things, be helpful to
your other fellow students. Be ready to solve problems, whether
a sum of Maths or sharing something like a sharpener in need.

2.)Curiosity– Curiosity is an astounding quality every teacher loves.
Being curious makes you learn new things but remember, be
curious for new learnings, not for troubling the class or teachers.

3.)Dreamer– Professor Abdul Kalam once said, ‘Dream is not that
you see while sleeping rather Dream is something which will not
let you sleep.’ I love this quote & I found it very near to my heart.
So be a dreamer. Dream big then only you will be able to
achieve it.

4.)Energetic– We all have a lot of energy. How we use that energy
is up to us. Channelising energy at the right place is the job of a
good student. We all know we have only 24 hours with all of us
to productively utilize for what we want in life. Spend your 24
hours carefully on positive productive things.

5.)Relentless– From good to great to unstoppable, it’s an amazing
quality “for a student ” who wishes to achieve his set goals. It
allows a person not to bow down under circumstances. It guides
or inspires a student to go on & on & on.

6.)Passionate– Passion is a feeling for doing great work. Find
your passion, continuously look for something which you want to
achieve. If you live a passionate life, it’s a life worth living. Look
into your life what all things you are passionate about and just do
it.

7.)Focus– If a lens, focuses on a piece of paper under the burning
sun, it will set a paper on fire i.e. the power of focus. So as a
student concentrate all your thoughts upon the work at hand and
give your best at it.

8.)Discipline– Being disciplined, students will bring regularity, and
with regularity, you will get results. Continuation of things you
decide to work on gives you an extra edge in your peer group.
Like if you decide to give one hour every day for reading, and
follow it for a month, you will be amazed to see that you have
completed 5 books in that period. So get this mantra in your life
that self-discipline makes everything possible and without
discipline there’s no life at all.

9.)Love & Care– As a student, you must love your country, love
your parents, family and most importantly love yourself. Accept
yourself and love unconditionally. Accepting the situation and
person the way they are gives you access for future growth.

10.) Empathy– ring empathy in your life. Empathy is understanding
others’ situations. When you have this in your life for your
people, situation, circumstances you will never be complaining.
An empathetic attitude keeps you away from complaints. It’s our
duty to have empathy for all the amazing things we have got
from almighty.

If students imbibe the above-mentioned qualities forever in their
lives, the power of future belongs to them who learn more skills
and combine them in creative ways resulting in unstoppable
growth.
